Merry Christmas To You...

The Christmas present giving tradition slowly died off as I gets older.. when i was young.. christmas was the time i always looked forward to.. coz that's the time i get to buy present for my cousines and close friends and receive from them as well... we're not allowed to open it till christmas.. and i remember me being the rebelious one always tries to peek on the presents even before christmas.. i would slowly open the present, check what's inside and then stick it all back together again... i know.. i was very naughty before.. :P Christmas it's also a time for new dress and shoes ...we would show off our new attire in church (haiyah.. u know lah.. kids like to show off one). some of those days is still vivid in my memory.. esp the times i spend with Pacy and Deanna, and of course the jie jies (sisters) as well.. we had our crazy moments.. when i say crazy.. it's really crazy!.. we had fashion show in my house and it's one of the mommy's idea!!!.. that's how crazy we were.. :P This year i got few pressie from people who are very much involve in my life here in LSU.. when i receive these pressies.. i just started to recall back the good ol' christmas i had when i was young..

Back home, we don't really give shoes as a gift coz we're unsure of the size.. but because of the return and change policy here .. it makes things easy.. but fortunately, the size fit me just right!..

i need something hot and spicyyy....

Weather has been really cold these days.. there were nights when it went down to 0'C.. every night i crave for something really hot and spicy... then i thought of MAMA.. sigh~.. how i wish i can have them every night..

i went to the oriental market and actually found mama... it cost my 99 cents per packet.. but what the heck.. i bought two packets... (coz i think it's too expensive..)


It looks quite the same with those in thailand.. but if u observe carefully.. there's some difference..















one difference spotted!!.. mama in chinese..
direct translation to english .. "mother"













"oriental style instant noodles shrimp flavor (tom yum)"






i'm glad i bought just two packets!!!!











because it's for export only!!!!.. and u know what happen to "for-export-only" product?!?.. they tone down the spiciness of it!!!!.. arghh!!!.. it was really a disappointing one.. it's like i'm eating maggie ayam flavor okay!.. oklah.. i exagerated a lil there.. haha.. but yeah.. it's nothing like the ones i had in thailand.. i remember eating mama and sweat like anything in thailand.. sometimes i even put just half packet of the chili powder becuase it was too spicy.. they might as well change the whole packaging and put " NOT SPICY" in front lah.. haih.. so sad for those Thai people here..

New Port Beach....

i'm lazy lah!.. haha.. but thank you for reminding me anyway.. haha!!..

Went out with the business department for an outdoor worship thingy by the beach side..
obviously i'm not from that department but i went there for two main reason..



1) i've seen US beaches on tv.. and most of them never fails to impress me.. the beach is one of my must-go place here.. so that's why i went..


2) FREE FOOD!!!!.. ppl here keep saying it's real food!!.. real food!.. at first i don't really understand the term... what real food?.. got fake food one meh?!!?.. then i found out.. real food means non-vegetarian food!!!.. hahha!!.. so meaning to say all vegetarian food to them is not real.. it's fake.. .... it does not make any sense to me.... -_-'



anyway.. that beach was not dissapointing.. it was indeed very beautiful!.. but too bad.. I DON"T HAVE A CAMERA!!!... ish ish... but yeah.. i did use my phone's camera lah.. but u know the quality right.. haih.. so don't expect too much from my pictures okay!!.. hahaha!!!..



( i'm going to get a camera soon.. any suggestions on what i should get?.. erm.. i'm more like a canon person.. i was thinking of powershot.. the new E series?!!.. the one with pink, blue and white.. haha.. but it looks like a toy lah.. hrmm... )

I MALASSSS!!!!

ish ish..

i'm very malas (lazy) to do this tag thing lah!!..
i guess i cannot avoid since two person tagged me already!..

ok.. here's the quick 5 facts about me..

1) i had my famous smelly pillow for 22 years.. and my mom threw it away when i was in Taiwan (should've brought it with me!!! ishh!!) and made me another one.. but i don't like the new one.. i still miss my old smelly pillow..
2) i like to bite my lips..:P
3) my right leg is longer than the other.. that's why i walk weirdLY..
4) my left foot is ONE SIZE bigger than the other.. i'm not kidding.. i know everyone's one foot is bigger than the other.. just slightly.. but mine is really one size bigger.. and it's very obvious if i put them together.. remind me to show u next time u see me..
5) i had a habit of pulling my curly hair and that's one of the reason why i'm almost bald now..

Strawberry...

One thing that is good about being in the states is.....

...... you get to eat strawberries!!!!



It may not be a big deal for you guys.. but it is for me!!.. i've eaten bit and pieces of strawberries from cakes ( most of the time as decoration), strawberry ice-cream, strawberry juice, strawberry jam .. you can go on with the list..

I'm never a big fan of strawberries, but sometimes i just wonder how does it really taste like.... trying to ease my curiosity and be healthy at the same time ( i try to eat lots and lots of fruits and vegetables here.. u know why...) i bought myself a box of fresh strawberries..







To my surprise, the taste of the strawberries is quite similar to what i thought it would be.. just that these strawberries are juicier, so juicy that u thought it's your saliva drooling but it's actually the strawberry's juice!..






...and it's also much bigger in size.. and.. it's sweetER.. i cannot say it's sweet because i think strawberries in nature bring a lil soury taste... that's why people come up with such bright ideas...







Strawberry dipped chocolate... a nice combination.. the chocolate tends to bring out the sweetness of the strawberry..
